Do I believe in fate/destiny….I definitely do! My husband and I’s paths crossed so many times before we finally met.
He went to one school in our small town and I the other. He had dated people from my school and I his. We had been to school dances where we were both there, but with other people. One of the women he dated even lived across the street from me and I always admired his mustang outside thinking, I bet the man who drives that is so hot!
Little did I know that fate/destiny would put us in each others eyeline and start our fairytale. It all started at Dairy Queen, where I was working at the time. He came through the drive thru and when we made eye contact he literally lost his words, which was sooo freaking cute! But I failed at getting digits and off he drove. I felt so dumb, like when would I ever see this man again?!
As fate would have it, I would see him as soon as college courses started at our local college. He walked across the hall to “trip” over my legs and flirt with me, but then he just smiled and walked away. I wasn’t going to let this handsome specimen get away from me again without his number, so I chased him down the hall. Before he went into his class I told him I was interested and would like his number to hang out sometime.
He accepted and we have now been together for 15 years, married for 7! Our paths crossed many times we came to find in our discussions, but it was like we weren’t ready for one another yet. Then after we met at Dairy Queen it was like the fates aligned and put us into motion to where we are now.
Fate and destiny do exist, it’s just how you look at the situations it brings you as you journey through life!
